1. First Things First: Get the Grills Going
As soon as the cars stopped, everyone scattered into the woods. The camp sat under the trees: canopies up, tables and chairs out, watermelons and skewered ingredients already laid out.
The red vests were the easiest thing to spot that day. On the back of each one is a line: "Live with heart, work with dedication, serve with care." A patch of red under the green trees — you could pick out your own people from far away.

2. The Smoke and Sizzle Do the Talking
Once the charcoal glowed red, the smell took over.
There was always a crowd around the grills: someone flipping, someone brushing oil, someone sprinkling seasoning — and someone standing by offering "technical guidance". Once the smoke rose, you could smell it tables away.

3. Everyone Had Their Hands Full
Those threading skewers and those working the grill all had quick, practiced hands.
Burnt, rare, too salty, too plain — it all went down in the end. Food you grill yourself always tastes good.

4. One Long Table, One Family Meal
The long table under the canopy was packed. Drinks, beer and skewers straight off the grill kept arriving.
The buzz was at the grill, but the bonds formed at the table. Colleagues who rarely crossed paths at work soon felt like old friends.

When the glasses went up, nobody had prepared a toast. It was simply: "Come on — cheers!"

5. A Group Photo to Hold On to the Day
Before leaving, everyone lined up in front of the camp and froze the day's excitement in one frame.

A barbecue, half a day off. Back at our posts, we get on with the work — and that is probably what good team building looks like.
